Every AuthDuty plan includes a monthly verification allowance - enough for most teams most of the time. But hiring spikes, onboarding pushes, and busy quarters happen. When they do, verification top-ups let you go beyond your plan's allowance without upgrading or renegotiating anything.

Top-ups are billed at the end of your monthly cycle alongside your subscription. You'll see exactly how many you've used - and what they'll cost - in your dashboard at any time. We'll also send you an alert if you're trending toward significant top-up usage, so you're never caught off guard.

A note on ID verifications

Government ID verification is the most powerful - and most cost-intensive - verification method we offer. It involves a real-time document check and selfie match processed securely via Stripe Identity. The top-up rate reflects that. If you're regularly exceeding your ID verification allowance, it's worth considering whether Pro's higher included allowance would save you money overall.

When does upgrading make more sense than topping up?

If your top-ups are consistently adding $100 or more to your monthly bill, upgrading to Pro will almost certainly cost you less and give you significantly more headroom. Your dashboard will flag this automatically - we'd rather you're on the right plan than paying more than you need to.

Government ID Verification

Photo ID + selfie matching powered by Stripe Identity. Detects fraud, spoofing, and document tampering. The strongest signal you can get remotely.

Manager-Aided Verification

A direct manager confirms the employee's identity through a structured workflow. Low cost, high trust for teams with established reporting lines.

Phone Verification

SMS one-time passcode sent to the employee's registered number. Fast and familiar.

Email Verification

Verified link sent to the employee's work or personal email address. Lightweight identity confirmation.

What happens when my trial ends?

After 14 days your account is paused. Your data and verification history are preserved for 90 days. Upgrade at any time to restore access and continue where you left off.

What are verification top-ups and when do I get charged?

If you exceed your monthly verification allowance, each additional verification is billed as a top-up at the rate for your plan. You'll see real-time usage in your dashboard and receive an alert before you're likely to go over.

Can I upgrade or downgrade mid-month?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

Is my verification data stored securely?

Yes. All verification data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Government ID images are processed by Stripe Identity and are not stored by AuthDuty beyond what is required for your audit trail.

Do you offer annual billing?

Not yet - but it's coming. Join our mailing list to be notified when annual plans (with a discount) are available.

Is SAML SSO included on all plans?

Yes. SAML SSO is free on every plan, including the trial. Connect your identity provider and your team can sign in with their existing credentials from day one. All plans also include our REST API with webhook support. View API documentation.
